Presently, this merely is a collection of things of interest online that come up mostly in conversation. Posting an entry with a link is like a follow up reminder to visit the online source of information. However, this domain is reserved to do something more interesting and relevant, and we’re looking to make that happen this summer (or winter, depending on your hemisphere). If you’re interested in participating, let dad or I know. If you’re reading this and don’t know who we are, you might as well skip the next section. Why Kaiapit? sheds some light on how Kaiapit.net relates to our family. More information of interest will follow, both for Holzknechts (and relations) as well as others.

Family Information

If you’re family, ask about getting an @kaiapit.net email address. I’ve already given out a few. If you don’t want to go through the hassle of changing email addresses, don’t worry. It can be set up to forward it to your current address, or even kept separate and your current email client used to check it. For example, I use Google Mail to check my kaiapit email as well as my gmail email (and it couldn’t be more simple to do).

Also for family, if you would like space for a website, but don’t want to put out any money, there are unlimited subdomains to give out for use (e.g. http://example.kaiapit.net). I generally use a person’s initials as the subdomain (sorry Karen, kh.kaiapit.net is taken ;P) unless there’s a specific request. The free webspace can also be used with a not-free top level domain, which come with annual fees depending on where you register it. Emily, for example, hosts nmrex.org here, and the registration cost for the name is $9.99 per year.
